5th Mardin Biennial Concept 'THE PROMISE OF GRASS'

The upcoming 5th Mardin Biennial embarks on an exploration toward a mysterious universal policy or a social-ecology possibility that internalizes the concept of renunciation.

Curator Adwait Singh explains the theme of the biennial as follows: "The Promise of Grass is the promise of reorganization, renewal, and the productive chaos that is life itself. The grass's wild growth, which needs no help or encouragement, which cannot be restrained; its role as a great balancer and harbinger of change, serves as a great metaphor that allows me to express my cosmopolitan concerns. Ultimately, its healing anarchy and self-regenerating wildness promise us decolonization and restoration, the wrapping of the earth's wounds in a green blanket."
