About FUAM
The Photography Application and Research Center (FUAM) was established in 2014 within Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University by the faculty members of the Photography Department.
FUAM was founded with the aims of:
– Supporting artists within today’s art environment, where photography is widely used,
– Organizing workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and photobook exhibitions in coordination with institutions and initiatives from Turkey and abroad,
– Conducting innovative research on photographic archives from the earliest years of photography to the present, while also creating its own archive,
– Developing new projects by producing works that merge photographic art with new technologies and various disciplines,
– Contributing to the development of the photographic field in Turkey through publications based on all these activities.
FUAM implemented the project “Establishment of the Photographic Design Development and Production Laboratory” with support received from ISTKA in 2015–2016.
