"IMPROVISATION WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN: SOUNDPAINTING"
26-27 May 2018 Mardin Museum
Ceren Oran and Burcu Yilmaz, "Improvisation Workshop for Children: Soundpainting", 26-27 May, 11:00-12:30, 90 min., in cooperation with Mardin Museum.
Biennial artists, dancers and trainers Ceren Oran and Burcu Yilmaz are participating in the biennial with an improvisation workshop for children between the ages of 7 and 11. "Soundpainting" is recognised as a multidisciplinary and international sign language developed for the performing arts. It is based on the healing power of music and its ability to trigger creativity. Within the framework of the instructions given by the director in sign language without using words, the participants/performers have the opportunity to develop their own improvisations and show their creativity and experience teamwork. The workshop is put forward as a participatory proposal on the phenomenon of "performance", which is the focus of the "Body Language" section, as a series of questions on how art can relate to people and the wider social environment rather than a medium or a work of art.
