Osmoscape: Echoes of the Osmotic Landscape, work in progress.

Mixed media installation, variable dimensions. Supported by Khoj International Artist Organization and India Foundation for the Arts.

Osmoscape explores an experimental open source archive of environmental data and attempts to bridge the gaps therein through visualisation and an interactive sonic experience to help reconnect with our depleting resource: water. The work collates 50 water related datasets and graphs from around the planet into a graphical notation store that can be navigated through a web application. The scorebook traces the deep interarticulation of water with our ecologies, its nomadology, the power dynamics around it, as well as the snowballing impact of human interruption and corruption of its flows through the lens of biology, chemistry, design and technology. The ongoing project brings planetary and local perspectives to bear on the flawed patterns in our current ecological systems design.
